Our AWP Event

On Thursday, March 27, Muleskinner Journal teamed up with BlackFork Review, Chestnut Review, and Ashland Poetry Press to host a public reading during the second night of this year’s AWP conference.

The event was held at the iconic Los Angeles Central Library, and featured the iconic food of Porto’s Bakery and a few of Southern Calirforia’s finest wines.

More important, it featured Muleskinner authors, Connie Johnson, Leslie Hodge, and June Stoddard.

Though we didn’t get any noise complaints, “Not Quiet at the Library” was a huge success. The room held 40 people and we drew a standing room only crowd of 65! We heard some great work, and we made friends, and we’ll do it again.
